The CDRO meal recipes have been created to promote protective foods like fruit and vegetables and reduce the amount of problem foods adults and kids eat

Nutrition education sessions are much easier when you use picture recipes, choice cards and posters. You will no longer need to demonstrate how to cook the whole meal at the start,. The resources you will guide the participants to discover they too can cook.

The participants should be able to prepare food they like and pick up the skills they need on the way.

You will need to check and demonstrate the kitchen skills you expect from the people you are teaching making sure you are compling with workplace health and safety requirements.

Kitchen skills include skills needed before during and after cooking and food preparation.

Modelling (showing what you expect) is important. You will need to establish rules and routines. The kitchen skills posters have been created to reinforce what you are demonstrating and what you expect.
